Painter Girl

back in august we watched our little friend mia for a couple hours. i thought it would be fun if we painted together. i bought some natural paints up at the toy store and let her go crazy with them on my new easel. she was really good at mixing ALL the colors together at once. every so often she would suddenly belt out "I'M PAINTER GIRL!" In a similar tone that a boy would yell "I'M SUPER MAN!" and every time she did it my heart melted a little bit more. so now when I am trying to paint and feeling discouraged i whisper to myself " i'm painter girl". am starting to think i should yell it too.

My very best memories from my childhood are of my mom's friend and I having sleepovers and making pottery. These are memories I'm sure Mia will carry with her for the rest of time and it seems like you will too. "I'm Painter Girl" I LOVE IT!
