we meet up with damiana and lex down in portland for their engagement session. we will be shooting their beautiful wedding next october. as we wandered around the pearl district we happened upon the chap (children's healing art project) art factory. it's the kind of place that you just can't walk by without poking your head in the front door. i instantly knew we had to take some photographs in this space, luckily the director was warm and welcoming. she just warned us to watch out for wet paint while we explored and played with our cameras. of course i ended up covered in a nice assortment of green paint on my backside. i think the same green monster also got lex pretty good too...all the paint is washable, so the kids just go crazy in there! the art factory is an amazing 4,200 sq. ft. space filled with light, art and the creativity of children and adults. it is open to the public everyday and everyone is encouraged to come in and make an artistic mess!
damiana and lex are open minded free spirits that are meant to be together. they were game for whatever we wanted to do, which was so fun since we had no set plan other than to just wander and explore. often that’s the best way to spend an evening with your camera in hand.
Love these... all of them
