i can't believe the last time i photographed this sweetie, she was just a toddler. looking through the lens i was in awe. we seemed to be floating in time. kept thinking of her chubby cheeks, crazy curls and endless energy. froze it all before in tiny slices of time. attempted to freeze time again. to capture adolescence. because womanhood is almost here for this one. today i enjoyed serious stares, huge blue eyes and an occasional grin full of braces.

i have a 9 yr old and i can so feel that knocking on the door already to womanhood.
it's scary and captivating all at the same time. it's a big door though and one i hope she will open slowly.
