we are very lucky to have family and friends on oahu and the big island. this year we shot two weddings on maui and enjoyed seeing a different island. in november we took off to explore kauai for the first time with our friend kate and it stole our hearts! the images above were photographed during the andy irons memorial at hanalei bay and at glass beach in hanapepe bay. the sand there is literally millions of teeny tiny morsels of glass. it's incredible!
we are excited to have a few of jon's gorgeous sunset photos from this trip and his images from the andy iron's paddle out featured on the hapa hale website this week. there is a great little interview with jon and an announcement that we are waiving all travel fees for hawaii weddings in 2011! because we love spending time with jon's grandparents on oahu, we want to get over there as much as possible this year. if the islands have a special place in your heart, go check out hapa hale, it's an awesome blog that features everything hawaii with a modern twist. the love nest section is packed with inspiring wedding ideas and links to local vendors, designers and artists.
Numbers one and three are extra good.
