my friend sean flanigan taught an awesome photography workshop last month here in tacoma. folks traveled from all over the place to attend. you can see more images from the workshop over on sean's blog. sean's work is always inspiring to me, so i was very flattered when he asked me to speak at the workshop. i decided to hang out the rest of the day and observe. all the other photographers at the workshop were so incredibly kind and talented, it was an wonderful experience. this was not a typical workshop with a big group shoot with models. instead sean photographed a couple in an old big warehouse and we observed his process. i couldn't help myself and pulled my camera out of my purse for a few frames. i only shot eight frames total (which was somewhat refreshing).
above ali walker who does beautiful work over in walla walla.
see the stunning portraits that sean created in this space over here.
Heather! I'm just seeing this. I love this portrait of me (which is saying a lot). Thanks for sharing (and for making me lust after a Hassy even more). It was such a pleasure meeting you.
